Problem Solving/Response to Intervention

The Florida Problem Solving/Response to Intervention (PS/RtI) Project is a discretionary project funded by the Florida Department of Education’s (FDOE) Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services to support school districts’ use of a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to improve outcomes for all students, with an emphasis on those with disabilities. Project staff partner with the FDOE, school district leaders, and educators to support improved implementation of evidence-based assessment, instruction, intervention, and data-based problem-solving practices.

The Problem Solving/Response to Intervention - Technology team's services support the local development of highly effective classrooms for students with disabilities based on Florida's B.E.S.T. Standards through an MTSS within a universal education system.

State Personnel Development Grant

The Institute partners with Florida Gulf Coast University and the Florida Department of Education to support implementation of Florida’s State Personnel Development Grant. The Institute’s role involves supporting schools and districts with their MTSS, professional learning resources, and problem-solving practices.
