Bridging Research and Practice through Research-Practice Partnerships

This was part of an ongoing series of presentations by scholars and policy fellows in the David C. Anchin Center for the Advancement of Teaching, USF College of Education. Staff from the Institute for School-Community Partnerships (ISCP) presented on March 25, 2024.

ISCP staff and community partners presented their vision for research-practice partnerships with local school districts and community organizations. Institute staff emphasized how a research-practice partnership can elevate outcomes for students, families, and communities through genuine, community-centered collaborations between district and school leaders, community organizations, and university faculty.

New Institute Leadership

The ISCP is pleased to introduce Dr. Stacy-Ann January and Dr. Kahlila Lawrence to the Institute's Leadership Team.

Joining the Institute's Director Dr. José Castillo, Dr. January is the Institute's new Associate Director and Dr. Lawrence is a Faculty Affiliate. Their expertise and leadership will ensure successful school-community partnerships.
